FAQs
Here’s a selection of questions that people regularly ask about Acorn Landscaping:
1. What geographical area do you cover?
Being based in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, we work mainly in Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds. Most of our work has been in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Malvern. As a rough guide, imagine an area delimited by Tewkesbury, Bath and Bristol, Swindon and the Forest of Dean – Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.
Occasionally, such as when we worked for BBC Gardeners’ World in Birmingham, we’ll go further afield. Please tell us where you are and what you have in mind and we’ll tell you if we can help you realise your landscaping or garden design dream.
2. What kind of work do you do?

3. Do you have a strong environmental position?
Absolutely – not because it’s a fashionable but because we’ve always believed it’s the right thing to do. Aside from the fact that planting trees is a great way to offset carbon, with a bit of thought and planning it’s often as easy to achieve a given objective with a green solution rather than a resource-hungry or unsustainable one. We like that and so do our clients.
It’s not hard to recycle materials (including precious topsoil) and avoid landfill wherever possible, or to use natural stone rather than high carbon-footprint cement-based products. When it comes to heating, we like the idea of ground-source or water-source heat pump systems and we often advocate low energy or solar lighting for buildings and garden structures.
After so many years’ experience, we also understand how materials such as recycled glass can often deliver striking landscaping. And, of course, our horticultural background means we’ll make sure timber comes from sustainable sources wherever possible.
And because we’ve built our reputation delighting clients in one small corner of the country, we don’t burn gallons of fuel driving all over the UK to work.
4. How do you ‘go further’ for your clients?
As well as providing imaginative designs and beautifully constructed landscapes that enhance clients’ lifestyles? Going further for clients starts with our patient, unpressured and consultative enquiry and quotation procedure. Before we prepare your quotation and visuals, we’ll take as much time as it takes to understand you, your lifestyle and your landscaping vision. Every Acorn Landscapes quotation is designed so you can pick and choose from different items – making it easy to choose a combination of features that meets your garden improvement vision and your budget.
Once we’re on-site, we go to extraordinary lengths to respect your home and garden, to ensure it’s a pleasure to have us around, and to make thoughtful little gestures to delight you. And after each project is completed to your satisfaction, we’re always here for ongoing maintenance, questions or personalised after sales advice.
